"New meteorological systems for Land's End Airport"

In addition to the new control tower at Land's End, the airport authorities have decided to replace the ageing meteorological equipment with state-of-the-art systems, and have today placed an order with MetEngUK for the supply of a new, 10-metre anemometer mast and accessories. The order also included a WD50-based airfield wind system and a PA50 aviation barometer system.
The construction work at the airport is scheduled for completion around the end of 2012, at which time MetEngUK engineers will install and commission the new meteorological systems just prior to teh new tower being brought into service.
