Praise for MetEngUK from Land's End Airport

A serious fault with the airfield wind system at Land’s End Airport was resolved yesterday when MetEngUK arranged the special delivery of a Vaisala WAV151 wind vane from their Manchester facility.

The vital component was delivered at Land’s End within 24 hours of the fault being reported; following which, Mr Chris Pearson – Land’s End Airport’s Senior Air Traffic Control Officer – wrote: “Thank you very much for the swift action to replace our wind vane. Much appreciated – if only you got that kind of service from all companies these days!!”
