British International Limited engage MetEngUK to upgrade high-level anemometer system at Penzance

The topography around Penzance Heliport is such that it is necessary to measure wind speed and direction at a height of 70 feet (21 metres), as well as at the standard 30 feet (10 metres) required for aviation operations.

British International Limited (who operate Penzance and Cardiff Heliports) have placed an order with MetEngUK to supply and install new Vaisala wind sensors and a new wind data transmitter for the high-level system. The installation was successfully completed on 2 September.
