Lancaster City Council engage MetEngUK to install replacement radiation monitoring system

MetEngUK engineers visited a site near Lancaster today to survey the site for a new Argus radiation monitoring system.

Several Local Authorities around Britain installed gamma-radiation monitoring systems following the Chernobyl disaster in 1986. MetEngUK has secured contracts with the ten Greater Manchester councils for the maintenance and upgrading of their network of monitoring stations, some of which have now been replaced with state-of-the-art Argus systems.

MetEngUK was recommended as an equipment installer to Lancaster City Council, by Greater Manchester City Council.
