MetEngUK fits modern aviation barometer at historic Biggin Hill Airport

MetEngUK entered into a long-term maintenance and calibration arrangement with London Biggin Hill Airport in January 2005, when the company was called in to resolve problems with the airfield wind system.

Today, MetEngUK engineers completed the installation and commissioning of a Vaisala PA50 aviation barometer system, to replace the obsolete PA21. An existing temperature and humidity was interfaced with the new barometer to provide air traffic controllers with a comprehensive display of accurate meteorological data.
