SERCO places orders with MetEngUK for new airfield meteorological equipment at North Denes airfield in Norfolk

The installation and commissioning of new airfield meteorological systems at CHC Scotia’s North Denes airfield (Great Yarmouth, Norfolk) were completed today by MetEngUK.

SERCO, who manage the air traffic control function at North Denes, selected MetEngUK to supply the new Vaisala WD50 airfield wind system, PA50 aviation barometer and temperature/humidity system.

MetEngUK also supervised the ‘civils’ which involved the installation of a new 8-metre anemometer mast and the laying of mains and signal cables across a 700 metre stretch of the airfield.
