Thames Valley Police engage MetEngUK to supply a state-of-the-art laser ceilometer system for the Chiltern Air Support Unit

Vaisala’s CL31 laser ceilometer is the latest piece of meteorological equipment to be installed for the Chiltern Air Support Unit.

Thames Valley Police Authority were delighted today when the installation was completed by MetEngUK at the ASU’s new home, based at RAF Henlow in Bedfordshire. The ceilometer system incorporates the sky-view algorithm to provide cloud amount as well as height data, and CL-View, Vaisala’s Graphical User Interface to provide graphical data and a logging facility.
