MetEngUK installs new aviation barometer system at Norwich International Airport

Following an initial assessment visit to Norwich International Airport on 27 May 2005, MetEngUK paid a second visit to the Norfolk airport today to complete the installation of a Vaisala PA50 aviation barometer system.

Many of the operational meteorological systems at NIA were found to be obsolete and unsupportable. In addition to the basic barometer system, a new temperature and humidity system has been installed using Vaisala’s HMP45D TU probe, and the DAT12 analogue data transmitter.

MetEngUK is pleased to have been tasked with providing the on-going annual routine maintenance and calibration services for all installed meteorological systems at Norwich International Airport.
