Aviation barometer system installed at Manston by MetEngUK

A significant improvement to the operational meteorological equipment at Kent International Airport (Manston) was made today, when MetEngUK completed the installation and commissioning of a new Vaisala PA50 aviation barometer system.

The PA50 system, which replaced the obsolete Vaisala PA21 aviation barometer, is fully compatible with Manston’s existing DAT12-based temperature and humidity equipment. This has been integrated with the new PA50 to provide the full range of pressure, temperature and humidity data on the control tower displays.
