MetEngUK comes to the rescue of the Commonwealth Games

There was panic today at the City of Manchester Stadium, when officials realised that no provision had been made for the measurement of air temperature and relative humidity on the athletics track.

MetEngUK received a telephone call from Manchester 2002 Limited asking whether they could make suitable equipment available at short notice.

The problem was solved! MetEngUK was happy to loan a recently-calibrated Vaisala HMI41 portable temperature and humidity meter to the Games organisers, for the duration of the event.
